LA Fires— Tips to Navigate and How to Help
We have served our Los Angeles brides for over 8 years in this beautiful city we call home. We are deeply saddened by the devastating fires happening across LA right now. The loss is unimaginable and our hearts are broken for the community we love. We’ve compiled some helpful resources and tips to help our LA family navigate this difficult time as well as ways others can assist from afar.

Smoke Inhalation:
For an AQI of 151+ (101+ for Sensitive Groups) follow the below tips:
Stay indoors and avoid strenuous activity.
If you must go outside, wear protective eye wear and an N95 or P100 mask.
If you have a history of cardiovascular or respiratory disease, continue taking your medications as prescribed.
Do not open your windows and seal them shut with tape if needed. You can run your central AC.
Stay hydrated to help with symptoms of smoke inhalation.
Seek medical attention if you experience symptoms due to smoke inhalation like nausea, dizziness, headaches, sore throat, visual changes, etc.

Prioritizing Mental Health:
Be patient with yourself and give yourself time to grieve.
Don’t be afraid to lean on those around you for emotional support.
Flight-or-fight mode can be battled with gentle movements and meditation.
Keep hydrated and nourish your body after a stressful event.
Repeat positive sayings in your mind and know that everything will get better.
