We’re looking for a dynamic Assistant Store Manager to support our Store Manager and contribute to the success of our New York location. Role Overview: As the Assistant Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting store operations, including sales, customer service, team management, and store maintenance. You’ll work closely with the Store Manager to drive sales goals, provide excellent customer service, manage inventory and alterations, and ensure smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Customer Service: Assist in driving sales performance and meeting team goals. Provide feedback and support to staff to ensure they meet personal targets and uphold high customer service standards. Act as a cheerleader for the team, celebrating individual and team successes.
Training: Help the Store Manager with staff training on product knowledge, sales techniques, and store procedures. Assist in scheduling and conducting staff meetings for ongoing training.
Staffing & Scheduling: Support the management of payroll and scheduling. Assist in creating schedules, conducting interviews, and maintaining staffing levels. Ensure the team is well-managed and that shifts are covered effectively.
Operations: Oversee daily operations, including order management, billing, and inventory. Help streamline store processes and ensure efficiency. Ensure all procedures are followed, and assist in maintaining store standards.
Store Maintenance: Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-maintained. Assist with seasonal merchandising, store improvements, and maintaining a tidy and appealing store environment.
Trunk Shows & Events: Support the planning and execution of trunk shows and special events. Help coordinate with designers, promote events through social media and email, and ensure successful event management.
Inventory & Sample Sales: Assist with managing inventory, conducting regular inventory counts, and planning sample sales. Help analyze sales data to keep inventory fresh and well-stocked.
Banking: Assist with handling bank deposits, processing payments, and managing financial transactions as needed.
Alterations: Oversee the alterations process, including scheduling appointments, managing seamstress schedules, and ensuring timely collection of final payments. Partner with seamstresses to ensure client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in retail management, with bridal experience being a plus.
Strong sales acumen with a track record of meeting targets.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to manage inventory and oversee alterations processes.
Experience in scheduling, payroll, and team management.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
